GRUPO JRI AND SACMAG JOIN FORCES TO CREATE A NEW MINING ENGINEERING COMPANY IN MEXICO

On September 5, 2025, Grupo JRI and the Mexican company SACMAG, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that marks the beginning of a new chapter in the history of both organizations: the creation of SACMAG-JRI Ingeniería Minera de México (IMM), a company aimed at providing Mexico’s large-scale mining industry with high-level engineering and technology services.

The new company will be legally based in Torreón, Mexico, and will have Grupo JRI as majority shareholder (50.1%) and SACMAG holding the remaining 49.9%. Its launch is planned for the early months of 2026, and during its first year of operation, IMM will focus on collaborating with Grupo BAL, before expanding to the entire mining industry in the country, with a special emphasis on providing services to large-scale Mexican mining companies.

SACMAG is a highly respected firm in Mexico, with a well-established track record in multidisciplinary engineering and a strong presence in industrial and mining sectors.

The objective of IMM is to develop a wide range of engineering and technology services for the Mexican mining sector, including, among others: deposit evaluation, mine development, plant design, and associated infrastructure, for both greenfield and brownfield projects.

For Grupo JRI, this alliance is a source of pride, satisfaction, and optimism, as it makes possible —together with a well-established and highly regarded partner such as SACMAG— the presence of Grupo JRI in one of the world’s most attractive and dynamic mining engineering markets.
